4/3 -- Ate well at Mountain Momma's.  Got a ride back to the trail via a John Deere Tractor.  It Me & group at Mountain Mommaswas a tough 10.5 mile day.  Mostly up.  What made it bearable was that

the temp was over 80 degrees.  Camped in my tent at Ground Hog Creek Shelter at Deep Gap, NC.  Hard to believe I was trudging through snow a week ago today.  

4/4 -- Happy Easter!!  Please note that pictures will be posted on these pages after I return.  Did a moderate 11.4 miles.  I went over Max Patch, a treeless mountain.  I ran out of pictures but this was a neat place.  The wind was blowing like crazy, but it was in the high 70's.  Got to Roaring Fork Shelter.  Great hiking weather today.    

4/5 -- A great hiking Day!!  The temps were in the 80's.  I did a record high--15 miles.  The Waterfall near I40

reasons were, that it is supposed to rain tomorrow and I wanted to beat it and I felt great.  When I got to Hot Springs lo and behold, who was there at the Jesuit Hostel but Robocop!  He is healing his blisters.  He is going to stay tomorrow and we'll start off together again on 4/7.

4/6 -- Took the day off in Hot Springs to do wash, see the sights, etc.
