State High Points

Though I'll probably never get to all of them, these are the state high points that I have been to so far:

New Jersey 1803' 5-15-2003
The AT skirts around the base of the High Point Monument Tennessee 6643' 3-27-1999
Hiked the AT over Clingmans Dome right after a major snowfall.
Virginia 5729' 4-28-1999
The AT gets to within a few hundred feet of the viewless Mount Rogers summit.

Maryland 3360' 8-20-2005
You start in WV and hike 1.5 miles to the top of Backbone Mountain. Pennsylvania 3213' 7-7-2007
You can drive your car to within .2 miles of the Mount Davis summit. West Virginia 4863' 6-25-2005
You can drive your car to within a quarter mile of the Spruce Knob summit.
